JUDO CLASS STRUCTURE
Warm-up is essential in judo for the following reasons:
Warm-ups ensure that judokas are physically and mentally ready to train at their best.
Prevents Injuries: Gradually increasing heart rate and warming up muscles reduces the risk of strains, sprains, and joint injuries during intense training or sparring.
Improves Performance: A proper warm-up enhances flexibility, mobility, and coordination, allowing judokas to execute techniques more effectively and with greater control.
Mental Preparation: It helps students focus, transitioning from daily life to the disciplined mindset required for judo.
Develops Judo-Specific Skills: Warm-ups often include breakfalls (ukemi), body movements, and drills that build fundamental skills critical for safety and technique in judo.
